The New River Tarot cards are made from collaged photograms and eroded 16mm film, which were created by wading in the New River at night in the thin light of the new moon to capture impressions of water onto light-sensitive paper.
The deck consists of 21 cards, with guidance assigned to local myth and folklore. By artists Laura Copsey and Philip Crewe as part of a the House of Illustration residency.
